Membership Eligibility

Police Federal Credit Union membership is open to those who serve in federal, state, county, and municipal law enforcement agencies or departments in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. See a full list of eligible law enforcement agencies able to join.

Join Police FCU

Individuals eligible to join Police FCU include:

  • Sworn Officers
  • Civilian employees
  • Retirees
  • Recruits (in training)
  • Volunteers

Membership eligibility also extends to the following:

  • Spouses of persons who died that were in the field of membership
  • Police FCU employees
  • Immediate family members of Police FCU members (spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, including step relationships)
  • Members of the immediate families or household

Moving? Retiring? You can always keep your Police FCU membership! We offer convenient services that allow you to access your accounts and funds wherever you are. Once you have joined Police FCU, no matter where life takes you, you can always remain a member.
