CU Foundation Scholarship

Every year the Credit Union Scholarship Program offers $12,000 in scholarship funds to credit union members entering their freshmen through senior year of college or trade school may apply.

Eligible credit union members may apply for one of ten $1,000 essay-based scholarships and one of two $1,000 video-based scholarships.  And yes, eligible members may apply in both categories!

The deadline for 2024 applications will be midnight, on April 15, 2024. Awards will be announced in June 2024. Please watch for the winners and plan on submitting your entries for the 2024 Scholarships beginning in September 2023 and running through April 15, 2024. 

The 2024 year’s essay topic:  “Explain the good habits you’ve developed for creating a sound financial future for you and your family. Additionally explain how your relationship with your credit union enhances or helps you establish or maintain those habits.”

The 2024 video topic: Create a 60-second video depicting one or more good habits for making sound financial decisions and how your relationship with your credit union has helped to establish, enhance or maintain those habits.”

 

PLEASE NOTE: Parental membership does not qualify applicant. All applicants must themselves be a member of a participating credit union.

Applicants must be entering their freshman through senior year of college or trade school.  This scholarship does not apply to students in post-graduate programs nor payment of student loans.

We’re pleased to offer this opportunity for our members. The awardees receive needed financial assistance to help them meet their tuition expenses and the application topics stimulate innovative and useful responses to help us better serve our members.
